Bekok's oil-palm and rubber smallholdings in Segamat district sit near forest reserve, bringing occasional elephant activity alongside consistent wild boar pressure.
Bekok is part of Segamat district's FELDA-heritage oil-palm and rubber belt, and its position near forest reserve means elephant activity is a genuine — if less frequent than in Kota Tinggi or Endau — concern for the plots closest to the forest edge, on top of the wild boar pressure found throughout the district.
We assess elephant exposure for Bekok orders individually based on proximity to the forest reserve boundary — plots well within the settled smallholder area typically only need standard wild-boar-rated fencing.
Use the Quick Order tool and mention your plot's distance from forest reserve.
