Quick start
- 1Hold CLOCK and use Week (D+), H+ and M+ to set the current weekday, hour and minute. Release CLOCK.
- 2Press Timer (P) for 1 ON. Select the operating days, then use H+, M+ and S+ to set the start time.
- 3
Set the clock, program matching ON and OFF times down to the second, then select AUTO. Follow the weekday school bell example, identify the controls and check the supplied wiring reference.
Use the 24-hour clock: 14:30 means 2:30 pm. Programmed switching times also have a seconds setting, described below.
If the keypad is locked
The original instruction sheet specifies four presses of CLOCK to unlock the keypad. Four presses also lock it. C/R is not the unlock button.
| Button on the timer | What it does |
|---|---|
| CLOCK (clock symbol) | Hold to set the live clock; return to the normal display. |
| D+ (Week) | Select weekday or day group. |
| H+ | Set the hour. |
| M+ | Set the minute. |
| S+ | Set the seconds in an ON/OFF program. |
| P (Timer) | Step through 1 ON, 1 OFF, 2 ON, 2 OFF and subsequent entries. |
| MANUAL | Short press to select ON, AUTO or OFF. |
| C/R | Cancel or restore the selected timer entry. |
| C (recessed) | Reset the timer; re-enter settings afterwards. |
This guide uses Timer (P) for the programming button and S+ for seconds. The supplied sheet uses inconsistent abbreviations in its programming table.
Reset clears settings
Reset is not required for everyday programming. Record your timetable before resetting, then re-enter the current clock and all required programs.
Set 1 ON
Set 1 OFF
Every bell event needs an OFF time
An ON entry alone does not set the bell duration. Set and check its matching OFF entry, including the seconds and selected weekdays.
| Entry | Days | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 ON | MO TU WE TH FR | 07:30:00 |
| 1 OFF | MO TU WE TH FR | 07:30:05 |
The five-second duration is the difference between the ON and OFF times. There is no separate pulse-duration value to enter for this example.
Sequence: Timer → 1 ON → weekdays → 07:30:00 → Timer → 1 OFF → same weekdays → 07:30:05 → CLOCK → MANUAL to AUTO.
Test both switching events with the connected installation before relying on the timetable.
Six example bell events, each entered as a matching ON/OFF pair.
| Program | ON | OFF | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 07:30:00 | 07:30:05 | 5 seconds | Morning/start |
| 2 | 09:30:00 | 09:30:05 | 5 seconds | Break |
| 3 | 09:50:00 | 09:50:05 | 5 seconds | Resume class |
| 4 | 12:30:00 | 12:30:08 | 8 seconds | Lunch |
| 5 | 13:30:00 | 13:30:05 | 5 seconds | Afternoon session |
| 6 | 15:30:00 | 15:30:10 | 10 seconds | School ends |
For each row, select MO TU WE TH FR on both the ON and OFF screens. These times are examples; adjust them to the school timetable.
After the final entry, press CLOCK and select AUTO. Keep a written copy beside the control panel and test every event after changing the timetable.
Press Week / D+ while viewing an ON or OFF entry. Stop when the required days appear.
| Selection | Days |
|---|---|
| Every day | MO TU WE TH FR SA SU |
| Monday–Saturday | MO TU WE TH FR SA |
| Weekdays | MO TU WE TH FR |
| Weekend | SA SU |
| Alternate days | MO WE FR |
| Alternate days | TU TH SA |
| First three weekdays | MO TU WE |
| Thursday–Saturday | TH FR SA |
| Individual weekday | MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA or SU separately |
The original sheet shows 15 selections: eight groups and seven individual days. Match the displayed days for both halves of each same-day bell event.
| Mode | Output behavior |
|---|---|
| ON | Output remains on manually. |
| AUTO | Runs the saved ON/OFF schedule. |
| OFF | Output remains off manually. |
Use short presses of MANUAL to select the mode. Leave the timer in AUTO for scheduled operation and return to AUTO after a manual test. Check the next scheduled ON and OFF events.
Long press is different: the original sheet describes holding MANUAL for five seconds to switch the controller/display off, then holding it again for five seconds to switch it back on. It states that stored timer data are retained.
OFF does not make wiring safe
Disconnect and isolate the electrical supply before any terminal work. Neither output OFF nor a blank display is proof that the terminals are safe to touch.
The original sheet identifies E1 as a missing start time and E2 as a missing end time. Check the matching ON/OFF entries if either appears.
A time of 00:00:00 is midnight, not an empty entry.
Do not hold C/R to unlock
The original sheet describes a five-second C/R press that resets when the display flashes. Use four presses of CLOCK for keypad locking/unlocking; keep reset separate from normal program editing.
The supplied Normal Type A diagram identifies the connections below, read left to right when facing the terminals.
| Position | Label in the original diagram | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Leftmost | INPUT L | Incoming live |
| Second from left | INPUT N | Incoming neutral |
| Third from left | OUTPUT N | Load neutral |
| Rightmost | OUTPUT L | Switched live to the load |
The INPUT pair supplies the timer; the OUTPUT pair connects the controlled equipment. At a programmed ON event the output switches on; at the matching OFF event it switches off.
The sheet also shows a separate Custom Made Type B arrangement. Do not apply the Type A wiring reference to a different output or voltage variant. Match the actual unit markings before installation.
For a school bell or other inductive/high-inrush load, have the installer select a suitably rated contactor or interposing relay where required. The 25 A marking alone does not establish suitability for every bell, siren or motor load. Cable, protection and switching equipment must suit the actual circuit.
Disconnect power before wiring
220–240 VAC can cause electric shock, fire or serious injury. Installation and terminal work must be carried out by a qualified electrician with the supply isolated. Follow the actual voltage, terminal markings and load ratings on the unit.
| Item | Supplied specification |
|---|---|
| Operational voltage | 220–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz |
| Power consumption | <2 W |
| Controlled power/contact marking | 25 A, 250 VAC |
| Custom-made voltages listed | 12 V, 24 V, 36 V, 48 V, 110 V |
| Timing range | 1 second–168 hours |
| Operating temperature | −20°C to +55°C |
| Power reserve | 3 years |
| Time accuracy | 1 second per 24 hours at 25°C |
| Setup times | Up to 28 timer operations per day/week* |
| Display | LCD |
| Internal battery | 3 V CR2450 lithium battery |
| Dimensions | 98 × 55 × 43 mm |
| Net weight | 133 g |
*The sheet states “Max 28 times recycle per day and per week”; it does not clearly define this as 28 ON/OFF pairs.
The reserve specification concerns the timer; it does not mean the battery can power the connected bell during a mains outage. Use the electrical rating marked on your supplied version.
Install in a dry, non-corrosive environment. For applications where switching failure could endanger people or equipment, use appropriate independent protection and professional system design.
Check that AUTO is displayed, the current weekday and clock are correct, and both ON and OFF entries have the required days and times. Have a qualified electrician check the supply and wiring if needed.
Check whether ON mode was selected manually. Return to AUTO and verify the matching OFF entry, including its days and seconds. If the output still fails to switch off, isolate the supply and have the installation checked.
Check Week / D+ on both the ON and OFF entries and confirm the current weekday. For the school example both entries must show MO TU WE TH FR.
Check the OFF entry seconds as well as its hour and minute. ON at 07:30:00 and OFF at 07:30:05 gives a five-second interval.
The original sheet defines E1 as a missing start time and E2 as a missing end time. Review the affected ON/OFF entries and complete the pair.
The original sheet specifies four presses of CLOCK to unlock and four presses to lock. Do not use a long C/R press as an unlock instruction; the sheet associates it with reset.
The sheet describes holding MANUAL for five seconds to turn the controller/display on or off without cancelling stored timer data. If it remains blank, have the supply checked safely; a blank display does not indicate safe isolation.
Re-enter the current weekday and time, restore each required ON/OFF pair, select AUTO and test the timetable. Keep a written copy of your settings.
