StarForce SE50 5J Smart LCD Electric Fence Energizer
Higher Power. Intelligent Control. Built for More Demanding Fences.
The StarForce SE50 is a powerful 5 Joule smart electric fence energizer designed for medium to larger farms, orchards, plantations and livestock fencing where greater energy capacity is required.
Combining strong 5J output with an intelligent LCD monitoring system, multiple operating modes and automatic day/night control, the SE50 gives farmers greater control and visibility over their electric fence system.
Supporting AC mains, 12V battery and solar power systems, the StarForce SE50 is suitable for both conventional and remote agricultural installations.
⚡ Powerful 5 Joule Output
With 5 Joules of output energy, the StarForce SE50 provides significantly more energy reserve than smaller energizers.
The additional capacity makes it particularly suitable for:
Medium to larger farm perimeters
Longer electric fence lines
Multi-wire fence systems
Areas with moderate vegetation
Installations with greater electrical loading
Livestock and wildlife deterrence
More demanding agricultural environments
Higher energy capacity helps the fence maintain an effective pulse when operating conditions become more challenging.
📟 Smart LCD Real-Time Monitoring
Why it helps
View operating information on the LCD in real time.
Set voltage-alarm sensitivity for fence monitoring.
Choose energy modes and automatic day/night operation.
Use AC, 12 V battery or solar power.

The built-in LCD display allows important electric fence information to be checked directly from the energizer.
The display provides information including:
Actual fence output voltage
Voltage reading in kV
Input/battery voltage
Current operating mode
Pulse interval
System operating status
This provides a convenient way to monitor fence performance during routine farm inspections.
🎛 Multiple Intelligent Operating Modes
The StarForce SE50 provides multiple operating modes to balance fence performance and power consumption according to different requirements.
Full Energy Mode
Maximum energy with shorter pulse intervals for demanding fence conditions.
Reduced Energy Mode
Lower energy operation when maximum output is unnecessary.
Day Mode ☀️
Higher performance during daytime with automatically reduced pulse frequency at night.
Night Mode 🌙
Reduced pulse frequency during daytime and automatically increased performance at night.
Battery Saving Mode 🔋
Reduced energy combined with longer pulse intervals to conserve battery capacity.
Standby Mode
Stops high-voltage output without requiring the complete power system to be disconnected.
☀️ Automatic Day & Night Detection
An integrated light sensor allows the SE50 to recognize changes between daytime and nighttime.
Depending on the selected mode, the energizer can automatically change its pulse interval according to the time of day.
This is particularly useful when the target animal is more active during specific periods and can also help optimize battery consumption in off-grid installations.
A significant voltage drop can be an indication of:
Grass or branches touching live wires
Fence wire contacting the ground
Damaged insulators
Electrical leakage
Abnormal fence loading
Fence system faults
🔌 AC / Battery / Solar Compatible
The SE50 offers flexible power options for different farm environments.
AC Mains Power
Can operate using an appropriate 110–240V AC adapter.
12V Battery
Supports 12V battery operation for locations without permanent electricity.
Solar Power
Can be incorporated into a correctly sized:
This makes the SE50 suitable for remote orchards, plantations and agricultural land.
🐘 Suitable for More Demanding Animal Control
When incorporated into a properly designed electric fence, the StarForce SE50 can be used for applications involving:
Wild Boar / Babi Hutan
Monkey / Monyet
Cattle / Lembu
Goat / Kambing
Sheep / Biri-biri
Deer
Livestock containment
Wildlife deterrence
Orchard protection
Oil palm plantation
Crop protection
Agricultural perimeter fencing
For larger wildlife such as elephants, energizer Joule rating alone should not determine suitability. Land perimeter, fence design, number of wires, grounding, vegetation and expected fence loading should all be considered when designing the system.
🌿 Better Tolerance for Fence Loading
Real electric fences rarely operate under perfect laboratory conditions.
Grass, leaves, moisture, dirty insulators and other objects touching the live conductor create electrical leakage.
The SE50's 5J energy capacity provides greater reserve for these more demanding conditions compared with lower-output energizers.
However, vegetation should still be regularly controlled. A larger energizer should not be used as a replacement for proper fence maintenance.
🌍 Grounding Is Critical
A powerful energizer still requires a properly designed grounding system.
When an animal contacts the live fence, the electrical pulse must complete its circuit through the soil and grounding system.
For longer fence systems, additional grounding arrangements may be necessary depending on soil conductivity and perimeter length.
For best performance:
Install sufficient grounding rods
Choose conductive or reasonably moist soil where possible
Use suitable high-voltage lead-out cable
Maintain secure electrical connections
Control vegetation along the fence
Regularly inspect insulators and conductors
Install suitable lightning protection
⭐ SE50 vs Smaller Energizers
The SE50 is an excellent choice when a smaller energizer may not provide enough reserve for the intended fence.
Choose a higher-output model such as the StarForce SE50 when dealing with:
Longer perimeter + More fence wires + More vegetation + Higher leakage + More demanding animals
For shorter, well-maintained fences with minimal vegetation, a smaller StarForce energizer may already provide sufficient performance.
Why Choose StarForce SE50?
The StarForce SE50 combines 5J electric fence power with intelligent monitoring and flexible operation.
Instead of simply generating high-voltage pulses, the SE50 allows users to monitor their fence, select different energy modes, automatically adapt operation between day and night, and receive warnings when fence voltage falls below the configured level.
It is a practical step-up solution for farmers who require more power than the SE14 or SE30 while still wanting efficient AC, battery or solar operation.
⚠️ Important
The effectiveness of an electric fence should not be judged by Joule rating alone.
A correctly installed and maintained electric fence will always perform better than an oversized energizer connected to a poorly designed system.
